Atención urgente vs. sala de emergencias

When nearby urgent care is the faster choice — and when to call 911 instead.

For non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — sprains, fevers, minor cuts, flu symptoms — in-network urgent care is often faster and less costly than the emergency room.

Care Compass lists urgent care facilities on a map with hours and directions. Use the site-wide Need care now? prompt from any page to jump straight to nearby options.

Life-threatening symptoms — chest pain, stroke signs, severe bleeding, trouble breathing — require emergency care. Call 911 or go to the nearest ER.
